Egyptologists speculate that the Egyptian pyramids were capped with crystals to channel cosmic forces into the geometric sculptures. Quartz crystals are formed deep in the earth and are made up of silica and oxygen. Quartz represents over 27% of the earths surface, but is only mined in Brazil, Madagascar, and Arkansas. Quartz is “piezo-electric, a term derived from the Greek word meaning ‘to press”, that is, when it is subjected to stress, it develops an electrical charge on the surface. Quartz responds in a “regulated vibratory pattern”, when stimulated electronically or by pressure. This is why Quartz is used in watches to keep time. Some people can actually feel the energy form the crystals. This can be explained scientifically by “piezoelectricity”. Crystals can shatter, but they are still hard enough to cut glass. On a scale of harness, Talc is a 1, a diamond is a 10, and a quartz crystal is a 7. Quartz is considered a semi precious stone, however because it is to transmit modify and transform the flow of electricity, it is used in electronic technology to make computer chips, radio transmitters and clocks. In the hands of a trained healer, crystals can transmit energy, absorb negative energy patterns, transmit knowledge and create healing energy.
